My Fiio E7 does not function when i plug it into my Macbook pro via USB cable. |
Reset E7, Use a pin, into the "reset" hole, E7 restart. Or check your Macbook settings/sound/output (select USB Audio DAC). |

I'v got E7 and mac book pro. When I plug E7 USB and headphone output, the sound is delivered by my laptop and not by E7/headphone..
What I can do? |
When you plug E7 USB in Macbook, E7 screen will display "Lock.." then disappear. Now, You need to set your mac book audio properties, Hardware select "USB DAC..." Then, close ITUNES, open again. (Because the Macbook does not automatically select the USB DAC hardware, you need to set by yourself.) Try. |

E9 does not show up Mac Book when connected via USB. |
Ask: I just got the E9 and it does not show up on my Apple Mac Book Pro when connected via USB. I am loving it when connected via the headphone jack to the line-in but I'd really like to use the USB connection.
Answer: Please pay attention to that: E9 does not include the USB decoder function, it’s just a pure amplifier, but when you dock E7 on the E9, the combo can work as an desktop USB DAC+ headphone amplifier.
