Like FiiO’sother products, most of the new offerings builds on top of its predecessors. The K5 Pro is no different. Building on the K5, which is a pure desktop amplifier, the team added DAC functionality coupled with the high performance of K5 to create the new K5 Pro Desktop DAC and Amplifier.

The K5 Pro not only connects to a player via a digital audio interface, but also works with a computer as a professional desktop decoding amplifier. Adopting AKM's new generation of high-performance audio DAC chip AK4493 with 32-bit processing and VELVET SOUND technology, to achieve a new level of decoding, coupled with XMOS XUF208 USB decoding chip with all-new clock matching management system,with unprecedent capabilities that supports decoding up to a sample rate of 768kHz PCM and native DSD decoding. The K5 Pro is a desktop DAC and Amplifier offering both decoding and amplification functionalities.
